DESCRIPTION:
  • Subabul is cultivated widely in the tropics as a fodder plant, especially on dry waste lands. It produces white flowers tinged with yellow resembling mimosa and long flattened pods.
  • Subabul leaves are fed to animals as green fodder

h harvest (multi-cut), fast-growing, heat-loving crop, grow up 7-11 feet tall with long, low water requirement, drought tolerance, slender leaves & no leaf blades.

  • Seed rate is 9-10 kg/acre; Seed germination is above 95 %. It’s presence of Crude Protein is 8.93-11.5 % & Fat contains 4.81 %. Yield is 27-30 t/acre/yr.
  • Conduct on first harvest on 60th days after sowing, then subsequent harvest 30-35 days once.
  • Uses primarily for pastures/grazing, green fodder, silage & hay.
